This IPC’s keynote speakers bring together scientists who have spent much of their lives trying to understand what penguins are up to – whether by tracking them across entire ocean basins, modelling the ecosystems they depend on, or teasing apart how climate change is reshaping their world. From long-term penguin tagging and bio-logging projects to big-picture conservation planning and forecasts of future ocean conditions, their work gives us new ways to see the lives of the birds we all care about. It is a line-up rooted in years of penguin research and field experience, and a perfect reflection of the curiosity that defines the penguin science community.
