Friday 23rd August
Pre-conference field trip with the Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust
The Trust will host a field trip to Otapahi Reserve (Otago Peninsula) where you can view their conservation effort, and with a bit of luck, see a yellow-eyed penguin | hoiho. It is early in hoiho breeding season when partnerships are forming, so we are hopeful there will be birds to view. This trip will depart Dunedin early in the morning, so you need to consider your travel arrival time the previous day. Numbers will be strictly limited.
Pick up from Castle Street, between the Dunedin Railway Station and Toitu Otago Settlers Museum at 06:50
Cost: $50 per person to cover transport
